
New Washington State Resident
If you are a new resident to the State of Washington you are required to license your
vehicle within 30 days of becoming a Washington resident.
NOTE: Beginning 1-1-2007, a Washington
State Drivers License needs to be acquired first before registering your
vehicle.
The following documentation is required:
- Out of state title. It you have a lien holder who is holding your title you will
need documentation verifying the name and address of your lien holder and the current
registration. DOL requires a photo or faxed copy of the out of state title.
- Federal Odometer Statement if the vehicle is 9 years old or newer
- Weight slip for all trucks and trailers, unless the scale, unladen or shipping weight is
on the title or registration
- Washington State Patrol Inspection (See VIN Inspections)
No emission test is required in Okanogan County.
Names on the Washington State licensing record will reflect what is on the out of state
title/registration.
