OKANOGAN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

July 5, 2005

The Okanogan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on, July 5, 2005 with Commissioner Andrew Lampe, Commissioner Don Hover and Pamela VerValen, in for the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Mary Lou Peterson attending to personal business.

Discussion - Watershed Planning / Salmon Recovery - Water Resources
Nick Christoph, Sandy Cox

Sandy Cox stated that they should go ahead and take comments though August 1, 2005 at 8:00 AM. Because it will be the weekend and there will be nothing done till after that time.

Regarding stream-gauging Nick will be speaking to Bob Anderson about taking over the DOE Grant.

Rob Mcgaughey, briefed the board on engineering projects.

Motion - Consent Agenda
Commissioner Lampe moved to approve the consent agenda items 1-4. Motion was seconded and carried.

  1. Approval Commissioners’ Proceedings of June 27 & 28, 2005
  2. Franchise Cattleguard renewal at milepost 0.623 – Public Works
  3. Agreement Patrol Services – Okanogan County, City of Pateros
  4. Appointment Shauna Hix position # 3 – Noxious Week Board

Motion - Voucher Approval - Cmrs.
Vouchers certified and audited by the Auditing Officer as required by RCW 42.24.080 and those expense reimbursement claims certified as required by RCW 42.24.090 have been recorded on a list and made available to the Board. As of this date, the Board did by unanimous vote approve the vouchers in the amount of $ 521,718.58 and payroll in the amount of $ 1,308,165.25. (attached)

Contract – Asbestos removal Communications Center - Facilities
Commissioner Lampe moved to approve the contract with IRS Environmental for removal of Asbestos in 911 Communications Center in the amount of $2,407.01. Motion was seconded and carried.
