OKANOGAN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
October 25, 2005
The Okanogan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on October 25, 2005, with Chairman Mary Lou Peterson, Commissioner Don Hover and Brenda Crowell, Clerk of the Board present.
Motion – Flu Shots – Commissioners
Commissioner Hover moved to provide flu and
pneumonia shots for county employees out of the Medical Reserve Fund. Motion was
seconded and carried.
Executive Session – Potential Litigation –
Commissioners
Commissioner Hover moved to go into executive
session for 20 minutes at 10:00 AM to discuss litigation. Motion was seconded
and carried.
Open Session resumed at 10:20 AM
Discussion – New County Shop Facility – Public Works
Rob McGaughey, Architect, Bond Counsel and Del
Shove discussed the bonding and plans for a new county shop building.
Discussion – Waiver Deed – Restrictions American Legion
Post/Roger Castelda
George Frank, Ted Hubert, Commissioner
Peterson, and Commissioner Hover discussed property that was given to Tonasket
by Quit Claim deed. They would like to place a Veterans Memorial on the
property; however, the wording of the deed indicates that it is to be used for
road purposes. George Frank asked that the wording in the deed be changed
allowing open ended language for the use of the property. The Commissioners will
send the Quit Claim Deed to Heidi Appel for review.
There will be a ground breaking ceremony November 11, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the site.
Motion – Consent Agenda – Commissioners
Commissioner Hover moved to approve the consent
agenda items 1 through 4 with the exception of item #2 pending additional
information. Motion was seconded and carried.
