OKANOGAN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
August 21, 2006
The Okanogan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on August 21, 2006, with Chairman Don Hover, Commissioner Andrew Lampe, Commissioner Mary Lou Peterson and Brenda Crowell, Clerk of the Board present.
Update – Planning
Greg Wilder and Chris Branch presented a
proposed alternate route regarding the Eastlake Sewer System. Chris Branch
stated that there are waterlines in the county road right-of-ways and a
temporary franchise assignment needs to be made to BK Engineering which will
revert back to the City after the work is completed.
Motion – Pipeline Franchise Agreement 1-95 - Planning
Commissioner Lampe moved to amend in Pipeline
Franchise # 1-95 to add at the end of item 5 …"and at that time this
franchise shall automatically revert back to the City of Oroville". Motion
was seconded and carried.
Introductions – WSU Extension Agent
Margaret Viebrock introduced Norman Suverly as
the new county extension agent.
Resolution 98-2006 – Surplus Property – Planning
Commissioner Hover opened the hearing and noted
that no public were present for comment. Commissioner Lampe moved to adopt
Resolution 98-2006, to surplus two county vehicles to be traded in on a new
vehicle. Motion was seconded and carried.
Update – Fire
Scott Miller and Gordon Hennigs briefed the
Commissioners on the current status of the fires. Scott stated that the fire is
further encroaching on the Loomis Forest and is problematic.
