The Okanogan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on February 28, 2006, with Chairman Don Hover, Commissioner Andrew Lampe, Commissioner Mary Lou Peterson and Brenda Crowell, Clerk of the Board present.

Executive Session – Land Acquisition – Public Works
Commissioner Peterson moved to go into executive session for 1 hour at 10:30 AM

to discuss Public Works land acquisition. Motion was seconded and carried.

Open Session resumed at 11:30 AM

Discussion – Master Gardner Program – WSU Extension
Margaret Viebrock asked that the Commissioners to authorize an expenditure of $5000 out of the excess director’s salary for someone to manage the master gardener program for 15 hours per week.

Commissioner Peterson moved to authorize the expenditure of up $5000 to hire a Master Gardener Coordinator out of funds that have already been appropriated. Motion was seconded and carried.
