OKANOGAN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

May 9, 2006

The Okanogan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on May 9, 2006, with Chairman Don Hover, Commissioner Andrew Lampe, Commissioner Mary Lou Peterson and Brenda Crowell, Clerk of the Board present.

Discussion – Laserfiche Software – District Court
Renee Townsley and Judge Culp

Renee explained that they have been working with Laserfiche to develop an interface between the JIS system and Laserfiche. District Court would like to begin fully utilizing Laserfiche for its records. Savings would be realized from not having to do hard copy file searches. It would also provide a back up should something happen to the files. Funds are available in the Trial Court Improvement account to pay for the software and training for District Court.

Commissioner Lampe moved to approve the purchase in the amount of $12,352.48 which includes tax as providing funds are available in the Trial Court Improvement Fund to cover the expenditures. Motion was seconded and carried.

Commissioner Lampe moved to approve the consent agenda items 1-10. Motion was seconded and carried.

Motion - Voucher Approval - Cmrs.
Vouchers certified and audited by the Auditing Officer as required by RCW 42.24.080 and those expense reimbursement claims certified as required by RCW 42.24.090 have been recorded on a list, and made available to the Board. As of this date, the Board did by unanimous vote approve the vouchers in the amount of $901,220.69 and payroll in the amount of $1,356,962.00 warrant numbers 54284 through 54572. (attached)

Discussion – Proposed Ordinance – Prosecutor
Heidi Smith reviewed a proposed ordinance for the public records requests. A Public Hearing is scheduled for June 12, 2006.
