The Okanogan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on January 5, 2010, with Chairman, Andrew Lampe, Commissioner Mary Lou Peterson, Commissioner Don Hover and Brenda Crowell, Clerk of the Board present.

Motion - Approve Consent Agenda – Commissioners
Commissioner Hover moved to approve the consent agenda item 1 as presented. Motion was seconded and carried.

Joe Someday, Noah Stewart

Joe explained the requested budget transfers. The Drug Taskforce did not realize that radios were not paid out of Capital Outlay so these funds are being moved into small tools and minor equipment. Also, the other request is to temporarily cover for the grant funded dispatch officer position until the grant reimburses the county.

Noah explained the need to purchase another vehicle because Chelan County will not release prisoners on the days that Okanogan County normally makes trips to Chelan. This will require the current van to be in service 5 days a week with only one day for maintenance. He would like to purchase another vehicle.

Update – Public Works
Frank Sautell

Frank updated the commissioners on road maintenance. He noted that no complaints have been received about snow plowing. Bob Breshears noted that there would not be many projects this year due to funding shortfalls.

Commissioner Hover moved to authorize the Chairman to sign the 2009 NDA Annual Report. Motion was seconded and carried. Motion was seconded and carried.
