OKANOGAN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
March 9, 2010
The Okanogan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on March 9, 2010, with Chairman, Mary Lou Peterson, Commissioner Andrew Lampe, and Brenda Crowell, Clerk of the Board present. Commissioner Don Hover in Washington DC on county business.
Update – Jail
Noah Stewart, Jail Administrator, briefed the
board on possible options to obtain a van; i.e., grant that would pay a portion
of the cost or financing at 4%.
Motion - Approve Consent Agenda
Commissioner Peterson moved to approve the
consent agenda items 1-9 as presented. Motion was seconded and carried.

Motion - Voucher Approval - Commissioners
Vouchers certified and audited by the Auditing
Officer as required by RCW 42.24.080 and those expense reimbursement claims
certified as required by RCW 42.24.090 have been recorded on a list, and made
available to the Board. As of this date, the Board did by unanimous vote to
approve the vouchers in the amount of $310,377.26 and payroll in the amount of
$1,559,977.01. Warrant numbers are cited on the attached blanket voucher list.
Convene as Methow Valley EMS District
Commissioner Peterson moved to adjourn as the
Board of County Commissioners and convene as Methow Valley EMS District. Motion
was seconded and carried.
Commissioner Peterson moved to approve vouchers in the amount of $32,010. Motion was seconded and carried.
Commissioner Peterson moved to adjourn as Methow Valley EMS District and convene as Board of County Commissioners. Motion was seconded and carried.
Motion – WSU Food Sense – Extension Agent
Commissioner Peterson moved to approve the WSU
Food Sense cost share and authorize the chairman to sign. Motion was seconded
and carried.
Update – Public Works
Frank Sautell and Bob Breshears
Frank and Bob updated the board on recent Public Works projects.
Resolution 61-2010 – Supplemental Appropriation –
Public Works
Commissioner Lampe opened the hearing and noted
that no public were present for comment. Commissioner Peterson moved to approve
Resolution 61-2010, supplemental appropriation in the amount of $6,160. Motion
was seconded and carried.
Resolution 62-2010 – Budget Transfer – Jail
Commissioner Peterson moved to approve
Resolution 62-2010, Budget Transfer in the amount of $2000.00. Motion was
seconded and carried.
