Airport Compatibility
The Washington State Department of Transportation on Aviation will publish a revised guidebook entitled Airports and Compatible Land Use. Commissioner Hover asked if this should be made part of the comprehensive plan. Perry noted that eventually it should be included. However, at the present time only those required elements are included. Perry stated that if the commissioners wish, the county can comment on this. He believes these regulations should remain advisory only and should include designations of compatible uses shall be determined by individual jurisdictions. The commissioners agree that the county should comment. Commissioner Peterson suggested that the Planning Department send out an alert to the cities.

Plumb
Patrick Plumb & Kurt Danison
Mayor Plumb explained that human waste has been found in Bonaparte Creek. They would like to see some of these homes onto the city sewer system. The area consists of approximately 45-50 homes that are located outside of the city limits. Should a grant be acquired and the area isn’t annexed into the city they would like the county to require that they connect to the system. Tonasket’s hope is to annex the area into the city. Tonasket’s system can handle the additional affluent. Commissioner Lampe asked that they get the project to the Economic Alliance so it can be ranked for EDD.
