Okanogan County is accepting applications for a Permanent Part Time Grounds Maintenance Worker. The part time position pays $15.91 to $17.54 per hour DOE. This part time position is eligible for retirement, sick leave and 50% benefit options.
Summary
This position is a permanent part-time position. The person assigned performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in grounds keeping and maintenance and repair. Maintains the grounds and landscapes of the Courthouse Complex Facilities.  Utilizes tools and equipment available to accomplish work. A Groundskeeper is a maintenance professional who works on different properties who are responsible for mowing lawns, trimming weeds, raking leaves and other various tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
Requires knowledge of the field of assignment sufficient to perform thoroughly and accurately the full scope of responsibility as illustrated by examples in the above job description.

Requires experience as a building and grounds maintenance worker.  Requires knowledge of the use and ability to operate a variety of hand tools and equipment used in the building and grounds maintenance field.  Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.  Working knowledge of safety hazards and procedures; cognizance of public safety matters.  Requires physical ability for continuous physical effort including frequent bending, climbing, squatting, manipulation of and lifting of equipment and supplies.  Also requires ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.  Requires ability to set priorities and accomplish work activities under indirect supervision. Requires flexibility of work hours due to weather related temperatures. 

Special Requirements
Possession of a valid Washington State Driver's License.
