**Even though we received rain over the weekend the BURN BAN is still in effect.**


The Cedar Creek and Cub Creek 2 Fires near Winthrop Washington still have areas that are burning but continue to be monitored.  At this time there are no evacuation levels for the Cedar Creek and Cub Creek 2 Fires.  For fire related questions you can call the Methow Valley Ranger District during regular business hours at 509-996-4000

The Walker Creek Fire near Wauconda Washington continues to have some areas still burning that are continually being monitored.  Smoke will continue to be visible in the interior portion of the fire as well as the peat bog area along Bonaparte Lake. The Muckamuck Fire near Conconully Washington is continuing to be monitored.  Fire personnel and equipment are still in the area.  Please be aware of hazards that are present, unstable standing trees, hot pockets along the road, and displaced and disoriented animals.  FS Road 37, FS Road 42 remain CLOSED, FS Road 38 is CLOSED at the forest boundary north of Conconully, and Mineral Hill is CLOSED just west of Conconully.  For more information visit the Muckamuck Fire page.
