Laws & Policies

RCW 17.10 is the Washington State Weed Law.  It describes our duties and requirements.  It also outlines the enforcement process and right of entry capabilities.

WAC 16–750 details the actual noxious weed list, how to change it, and the monetary penalties for lack of control.  The language regarding control has been changed to:

"Control" of noxious weeds means to prevent all seed production and to prevent the dispersal of all propagative parts capable of forming new plants.

Okanogan County Noxious Weed Control Board Policy outlines our day to day programs and procedures.  A current policy is available in the Noxious Weed Control Board Office.  We are located in the Public Works Building at 1234 2nd Ave S., Okanogan.
