Marine Patrol
The Okanogan County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol
is responsible for patrolling the lakes and waterways, enforcing boating statues, providing public relations education. Marine Patrol deputies are trained through a program instituted by Washington State Parks and subsequently on water patrols are conducted near Washington State Parks locations, as well as other parks and campgrounds where people recreate. Watercraft are also used to support border security on Lake Osoyoos in conjunction with US Border Patrol.
The primary goal of the Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol is to ensure the safe usage and enjoyment of waterways in Okanogan County by educating adults and children, to the importance of safe boating habits and general water safety.
